Sessions Surf Festival will return to Australia for a second year, delivering an even bigger swell of surf, film, art and live music on the Gold Coast from 23-30 May.

Following its successful debut last year as Solento Surf Festival, the festival enters a refreshed celebration under the banner of Sessions Surf Festival – expanding its footprint from one-week to two-weeks with more community events and activations across the city.

SSF Australia 2026 will make waves across some of the Gold Coast’s most iconic cultural and coastal locations, with this year’s festival program having a strong focus on live music, which includes the addition of a music festival headlined by Dope Lemon at Miami Marketta.

SSF drops in with a massive live music festival at Miami Marketta, headlined by Dope Lemon (the indie-rock project of Angus Stone) and featuring a stacked line up of five including Babe Rainbow, Mt. Warning, Makua, with and two local acts (to be announced) on Saturday 23 May.

Through a social media call-out, the final two spots will be awarded to Gold Coast acts who receive the most public votes <<how>>, with the opportunity providing emerging local talent a platform to join the massive line-up alongside the big-named artists.

Sessions Surf Festival Australia 2026 is supported by Experience Gold Coast and Cr Josh Martin, City of Gold Coast, with brand partners including Balter Brewing Company, White Claw, Vissla, Maxum Watches, Mondrian Gold Coast, Posca Hydrate, Sun Bum and Firewire.

Sessions Surf Festival held on the Gold Coast, Australia from 23-30 May.
