Holy Basil & Friends: The Alternative Pop Party
One night, three alternative pop artists, and a world you didn’t know you needed to be a part of.
Holy Basil hosts an evening celebrating the most exciting upcoming voices in local alternative pop (special guests TBA). Expect glitchy, genre-bending sets from artists who are building something new.
A familiar name in the Gold Coast scene since 2022, Holy Basil returns to the stage with brand-new, self-produced music, including the singles Levitating in Reverse and Aphasia. Having performed at HOTA, Focal House and The Cave Inn, and shared stages with Benedict and Kristal West, she now steps into a new era, with a rollout of new music continuing into 2027.
Her live and electronic hybrid set pairs heavy rhythmic drums, glitchy bass and warped synths with warm, ethereal vocals and lyrics that are both honest and mystical. Built on themes of resilience, reclamation and self-discovery, her world is part ritual, part dance floor, and a refuge for the sensitive, the introverted and the weird.
Come as you are, or dressed in your favourite fairy grunge fantasy outfit.
